Vote YES on B – Repair and Upgrade Our Beaumont Unified Schools Without Increasing Taxes!
Our community continues to grow. Families choose to move and raise their families here due to our strong community and public schools. The growing number of students has increased the demand and usage at our schools, and our oldest schools are aging and are starting to show wear and tear.
Deteriorating roofs, failing plumbing, and outdated electrical systems are expensive, ongoing problems. Last year alone, our schools experienced 138 roof leaks. Meanwhile, 81 portable classrooms — many more than 20 years old — are past their useful life, plagued by structural damage, water leaks, and mold.
Aging schools are built for a different era of education and need upgrades and repairs to meet today’s safety and educational standards. Student safety should always be a priority.
Measure B addresses these problems without increasing taxes by a single penny. Measure B will provide a dedicated source of locally controlled funding that can only be used for improvements to our local schools.

Strict Fiscal Accountability and Transparency

Oversight and Transparency: A citizens’ oversight committee, public spending disclosures, and annual audits will ensure that funds are spent as promised

Local Funds for Schools: No funds can be taken by the State – all Measure B funds stay right here to benefit Beaumont schools
